Vivo V50 has officially set up a microsite for its upcoming Vivo V50 smartphone, confirming key details about its design, camera, battery, and more. The Chinese smartphone brand has been teasing the Vivo V50 for some time now, and the creation of this microsite suggests that the launch is right around the corner. Here’s everything we know so far.
Vivo V50 Design
Staying true to the V series’ reputation for sleek aesthetics, the Vivo V50 is set to be India’s slimmest smartphone with a 6000mAh battery. It will be available in three color options: Rose Red, Titanium Grey, and Starry Blue. The Starry Blue variant will also introduce India’s first 3D-star technology in a smartphone.
The device will feature IP68 & IP69-rated dust and water resistance, along with Schott Diamond Shield Glass for improved durability and drop protection. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to sport a quad-curved display, enhancing both aesthetics and usability.
Vivo V50 Camera
Vivo’s V series has always emphasized camera quality, and the Vivo V50 continues this trend. Like its predecessor, it will feature ZEISS-branded optics. The rear camera setup will consist of a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, while the front camera will also be a 50MP ZEISS-branded shooter.
The V50’s rear cameras will support portrait photography at 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm focal lengths. It will also feature Vivo’s Aura Light flash for enhanced low-light photography. Additionally, the brand has introduced a specialized color tuning mode for wedding portraits, designed specifically for the Indian market.
Vivo V50 Performance
While Vivo has not officially confirmed the chipset, leaks suggest that the V50 could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Vivo claims the device will deliver smooth performance for up to five years, potentially hinting at four years of Android updates and five years of security patches.
The phone will also come equipped with AI-powered features such as Gemini, Circle to Search, AI transcription, and live call translation, making it a future-ready device.
Vivo V50 Release Date & Expected Price
Though an official launch date is yet to be announced, rumors suggest the Vivo V50 may debut on February 18. Pricing is expected to be under ₹40,000, considering that the previous Vivo V40 launched at ₹34,999 in India.
What About the Vivo V50 Pro?
Unlike previous generations that featured both a standard and Pro variant, Vivo has not indicated plans for a V50 Pro model this time around.
